Everyday things...

Sometimes coming up with a post name is hard. But here are a few everyday things that happened this week at our house. First, the power went out. Not a big deal, kinda cool actually. Until the houe starts to get a little cold and the kids get hungry. Solution?
Cook eggs on your fireplace wood burning stove. Yes, we cooked em up, ate em, and they were tasty. I told Tyler how neat it was to pretend that we were pioneers. Um, o.k. don't even put me in the same category as them. They are amazing beyond anything. But it was fun just the same.

No one is to young to learn chores. And since it was Dallin's handprints all over the glass, it's Dallin's handprints that he wiped up. Actually, he got a little carried away with the Windex. But he's a good moop for helping mom around the house without so much as a peep.

Aaahhh FHE. I love that all the kids are totally focused on what I'm teaching. I talked about Jonah and the whale. And how we should be obedient the first time we are asked to do something. The kids were all for it. Jonah being swallowed by the whale I mean. I've yet to learn if they were actually getting the real message of- be obedient, do what your asked to do. Maybe I'll get a whale costume and walk around the house until they pick up their stuff.

eggs on the fireplace? Amazing. I think that's the most stellar idea ever.

And I'm really glad to know I'm not the only one that introduces my kids to housework at young ages. And Windex work is ALWAYS first. I always have to go back and re-do...but it makes them feel helpful.

I would like to see the whale costume when it gets there!!
