All boy

Here is a picture of my sweet 5 year old. To me, this picture screams all boy. First we have the John Deere shirt followed by the chipped front tooth and the band aid across the head. He split his head open on the trampoline :( Oh and the 3 dead fish in his hand. Oh he thought he was a mighty fisherman, but what he didn't realize is that the fish are already dead. But he threw them back "to their moms". Mason and I went on a date Saturday night "just us"! We went to the mall where they have glow in the dark mini golf. The boy was in heaven. We mini golfed, shared a Subway sandwich, and raided the candy machines. I wanted to do something special before school starts this Thursday. We had a great time. On our way home he said," I sure am glad we could go on a date mom! I had a fun time with you." Bless your little heart Mason. I had fun too.
And now for my thankful thing of the day. Thank you Sara O' Dell. You don't even know why I'm thanking you, but you showed me an easier way to load cutlery into the dishwasher. She pulled the tray into the other side of the sink, loaded her spoons and forks etc., and then when all the cutlery was put into it's place she put it back into the dishwasher. You have saved me from back breaking, bending over cutlery. I will never look at spoons the same way again. Thank you.

Root Beer

I've decided that everytime I blog, I am going to be thankful for something. Serious or not. Today I am thankful for root beer. Who doesn't enjoy throwing back a frosty cold root beer in the can or in the mug. I enjoy sipping the foam off the top and chugging down my frosty cold beverage. Thank you A&W. Thank you for your sasparilla drink.
Onto other news, Nat decides to be in the Olympics by letting go of the swing in mid air. She lets go, does a complete back flip in the air and then lands right on her face. I'm going to have to give the dismount a 1.1. Luckily no teeth came loose and all she has is a small raspberry above her right eye. We're a long way from the Olympics baby, a long way.

Blackberries please

There are many great reasons to why I like where we live. One of them being my ability to walk out the front door and pick blackberries. They honestly grow EVERYWHERE!!! They grow at the side of the road, they grow at the side of my house, they grow across the street, etc... you get the picture. If you live in Washington and you go to Albertsons to buy blackberries, then you are the laziest person that I've sever seen!! O.k. maybe that was a little harsh. The kids and I are going after lunch to pick some for freezer jam. But first it needs to stop raining. Today is 70 and cloudy. That probably sounds like heaven to some of you, but I'd prefer the rest of my summer with no clouds in it. Oh well, live for the day.

Still learning

I'm still learning how to do this blog thing. Maybe somebody should come for a visit and show me how.:) In the meantime, you can look at a cute picture of my sweet little Dilly Dal. Isn't he the cutest baby! No question mark needed on that statement. He's 3 months old in this picture. What a cutie!

My first blog

O.k. so everyone blogs so I thought maybe I'd jump on the band wagon and give it a shot. Maybe I'll even learn how to do neat borders and designs and stuff. So bare with and here we go.
