HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MU!!!

Happy birthday to our 4th child Mu! You are the best stuffed whale to our Mason boy!! He loves you so much and NEVER goes to sleep without you. You are a good Mu to wait in the car until church is over, or to wait in the hallway for Mason to come home from Kindergarten. You have calmed fears and settled down tears. You have taken the sting out of owies and made Mason so happy. You picked a great dessert to have for a birthday treat. Brownie pie with crushed strawberries on top. Yum, Yum!!! We hope you enjoy your presents, (seen in the picture at the side- root beer and a 6 pack of Life Savers) I'm sure Mason and Nat will help you with them. We hope this is just one of the many birthday's yet to come! We love Mu!!!!!

Uuummm stranger danger?

We were running a little behind this morning so we had to drive to school. Normally we walk with the school being 3 blocks away, but not today. Plus it was raining. After I dropped off Mason, ( and seriously some moms need to put down there coffee cup and learn how to drop off in the appropriate lane- let it go Beck, let it go) we drove home. I noticed a girl turning the corner and started to walk towards the school. I got out to get the mail and she slowed down and was looking at me. I got back in the van and then rolled down the window and said," Would you like a ride to school?" She nodded yes without any hesitation and came and got in. When she opened the door I said," Don't worry, I'm a nice mom." I drove her to school and dropped her off telling her to have a nice day. As soon as she shut the door, Natalie pipes up and says "Why did you give that lady a ride to Mason's school? " It then hit me that here I am telling both kids to not talk to strangers or EVER get in a car with someone they don't know. And here I am, a stranger, giving this girl a ride. I shouldn't have offered. She shouldn't have accepted. But isn't it crummy to live in a world where we can't help others out without the fear of creepy creepers?

I did my best to explain to Nat that it's nice to help people and kids out if they need help, but NEVER, EVER, EVER, get in a car with someone you don't know. Even if they "are a nice mom."

IT IS TIME!!!!

Tylers' boss couldn't make the play the other night (ohh rats :( and he offered his tickets to The Lion King Broadway to Tyler. My sweet husband knowing that I love everything musical and broadway said yes. So we went to The Lion King Saturday night and it was incredible!!! It was so good! I loved it. I loved our seats too. 1st mezzanine, front row, dead center. Yep it was pretty awesome. And Tyler loved it to. I was glad because he didn't like Les Mis or the Phantom that much. So we were both happy. I just love musicals and plays. I love the costumes, the choreography, the music, the actors-seriously got some talent there, and I love the end when everyone stands and the applause is deafening. What a great feeling that must be. Anyway, it was totally awesome! And a huge thanks to Gramma ZoBell for watching all 3 kids! What a great woman!!

Something especially for you

I saw this post on my friend Kelly's blog. I thought this idea was so creative and a great way to give of oneself that I wanted to start it on my blog. Here's how it works:The first 5 people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

I make no guarantees that you will like what I make. What I create will be just for you.It will be done this year (anytime). You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry or an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on their blog. The first 5 people people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did, win a FABULOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!

Challenge

So Tyler went and bought some of this cereal the other day and as I was putting it away I noticed that on the back of the box it says "Take the 10 day challenge." Pretty much you have one bowl of All Bran cereal for ten days and then your suppose to have more energy, feel lighter, and healthier. Well why not I say, let's give it a go starting tomorrow. So I woke up the next day and poured myself a bowl and then realized that there must have been a mistake at the factory. I think they shredded a cardboard box instead and have tried to pass it off as cereal. Challenge??? You better believe it was a challenge to finish the bowl!! I think they should say, "Take the 10 day challenege! If you eat our cereal for 10 days, then we'll send you to Jamaica. Or we'll even pay you for trying." I'd rather challenge myself at something else thank you very much. Luckily Tyler likes it. He can do it. Now pass the Froot Loops!!

A few pictures

Tyler says that I should put some pictures of myself up on the blog. Why? I know what I look like.:) But just in case the Utah friends and family members forgot what I looked like, here you go. Please note that these pictures are pre Dallin. Post Dallin pictures will come 10 pounds later. :) :)

Oh yeah what's up!!!! This is me and Mason 2 summers ago at Hyrum Dam. Grandpa ZoBell took us fishing. Yup, that's me with my fingers through the mouth of the fish. It was my first time holding it like that. It wasn't as gross as I thought. Mason LOVED going out on grandpa's boat. He had a great time.

And yes this is me gutting my fish. Actually they're pretty tough to cut through. But I seemed to manage (obviously).

Approaching the finish line of the Top of Utah half marathon. My sister in law challenged the family to run this race. At mile 11 my body said "What?" But I pressed on and here is the end result. I didn't come in first, or last. But I'm pretty proud to just finish.

Ahh nothing makes my heart happier than to see my princess in a Dorothy outfit. We loved this Halloween. Isn't she the cutest thing EVER!!! Nat- not me :)

So there you go. Thanks for looking. Now let me see some pictures of you all.

My conversation with Nat

The other night I was blow drying Nat's hair and we were both singing Princess songs. First Belle, then Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, you get the picture. As I was brushing her hair she looks up at me and says," Mommy, I love you, your my best friend." My eyes fill with tears and I say ," Your my best friend too sweetheart and I love you so much." Nat- "Let's always be best friends!" Me- "O.k. and let's tell each other everything." Nat- "Yeah. Let's sing a song about Jasmine."
I hope and wish and pray that she still wants to be my best friend in 10 years. What a sweetheart!
