My conversation with Nat

The other night I was blow drying Nat's hair and we were both singing Princess songs. First Belle, then Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, you get the picture. As I was brushing her hair she looks up at me and says," Mommy, I love you, your my best friend." My eyes fill with tears and I say ," Your my best friend too sweetheart and I love you so much." Nat- "Let's always be best friends!" Me- "O.k. and let's tell each other everything." Nat- "Yeah. Let's sing a song about Jasmine."
I hope and wish and pray that she still wants to be my best friend in 10 years. What a sweetheart!

She probably won't wanna be your best friend in 10 years. Not because you're an less of a delightful person...but because teenage girls tend to be part devil.

BUT>>>>

in 15 or 20?? You're totally gonna be best buddies!! I love my mom like crazy!

I love this! It just is so precious when your kids tell you and each other that you've been labeled 'Best Friend.' I write it in their babybook so there is actual proof in 10 years.
