A bit of random, a bit of history...

Random things first. Blackie, our beloved pet, has flown the coop. He's nowhere to be found. After calling for him and throwing oatmeal on the grass, alas, he has probably gone back to his real home. And so the kids want a fish now. I feel bad for fish. There's nothing to see, nothing exciting, so we'll see. Not much to report really except for the triathalon on Saturday. After last Saturdays training, I felt like someone had shot off my knees. So this Saturday should be interesting.

And now a few conversations that go on here in the ZoBell household:

Nat is playing the piano. When she stops I ask her,"What's the name of your song?"
Nat- "You are Sleeping Booty, you are dead."

Tyler tells Nat that she has to pick up her room 10 times before she can have her new sparkling red shoes. She picks up everything and then goes around the house to pick up stuff. Tyler hands her a dirty shirt to put in the laundry basket. After she's done she says,"Only a few more times before I get my shoes." Tyler says," No Nat, putting your shirt in the dirty clothes is not a chore."
Nat- "Oh, you have to bend down or it isn't a chore."

Mason- "I don't want to be a missionary when I grow up, I'd rather be the Prophet."

History- 70 years ago today The Wizard of Oz was released in theatres. Thank you Victor Fleming. And why hasn't the radio station called? Don't they know that they're sitting on the essay of all essays?

Don't want to dampen your enthusiasm for the triathlon on Saturday but I just biked the course for the actual triathlon this morning and the hills are killers. On the way back there is a series of 3 hills that about made me throw up - once you make it up each hill, the road plateaus and so you don't get to coast before the next hill starts. But, I did make it through and by the end of the ride I felt okay again. Go out and ride the course!

Very funny random bits. Kids are hysterical. Read Anne's post, good luck on those hills ladies!

Bending down is a chore! But I don't think it's the only qualifier. We need to get Nat to expand her definition, or I'm gonna look like a total complainer!

And way to go Mason! Shoot high dude!

(Your kids are awesome Becky~)

So cute!!!
One day Mason will realize being the Prophet is way harder than being a missionary.
