Welcome to Wisconsin

On this day I always stop and think about the day I arrived in Milwaukee to serve a mission. That's me and my first mission president and his wife. I look back on my mission with fond memories. It was the hardest, yet most fulfilling, fun time. I remember being so thankful for my companions, some of which are now my best girlfriends (Nicole- I love ya!) I remember eating spaghetti my first night in WI and wondering how many times I'd be eating spaghetti on my mission. I remember tracting in a few blizzards and reading the bank temperature as -44! That last part is totally true. I thought my lungs were going to explode!! I remember teaching Bobby Jo's friend Michelle ( ah Bobby Jo, I love ya) and she started crying when Nicole (Sister Jensen) taught her about Joseph Smith. We look at each other like- oh yeah she's awesome. So then I teach her about the Book of Mormon and she starts crying harder and we look at each other like she is totally golden! Invite her to be baptized!!! So when we ask her how she feels she says that her heart hurts, she's having a heart attack and can we drive her to the hospital. Not the answer we were looking for. We ended up taking her to the hospital which was hard because it had snowed 4 feet that night. Ahh the memories. Man 11 years has flown by! I love the Dairy State!!

I also remember the day you arrived in Wisconsin...we were all bawling like babies on the homefront! Talk about a long 18 months! Sheesh..

Oh man, it's been years, and I just realized I published that saying it beings back memories - obviously I have not changed!:)
